As you know, for years LHA and its partner stakeholders have been pushing for the cleanup of the PCB contamination in Twelve Mile Creek. Thanks to the actions of U.S. District Judge G. Ross Anderson Jr., the removal of PCB contaminated soils and the two lower dams is now underway. Click here to go to a WYFF4 video report of the actual destruction and removal of the first of those two dams. LHA will continue efforts to secure funding for the removal of the third (upper) dam, which was not covered in the court's original order. Removal of the third dam would facilitate the flow of clean sediment downstream and the restoration of the river's natural shoreline. Thanks again for all your support!
