Corps restricts water redrawals from Hartwell Lake

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Project has implemented a temporary water withdrawal restriction for private individuals with Shoreline Use Permits to pump water for irrigation purposes. This restriction applies to all of Hartwell Lake and will be in effect as long as the existing outdoor watering ban in the State of Georgia remains in effect and/or for the duration of additional water bans that may be implemented by South Carolina relative to the current drought.Click to read more.
