The Georgia Water Plan was approved by the Georgia General Assembly on January 18. Georgia has many of the same management programs and processes that South Carolina had before they decided they needed to have a more comprehensive and integrated plan developed to guide them in water use as they move forward. While the Lake Hartwell Association may not totally agree with all the final policies and practices it contains it is considered a major improvement over what Georgia had.
