Friday, April 06, 2007 Lake Level Petition Friday, April 06, 2007 :: 366 Views   In 2006 the Hartwell Municipal and Chamber Coalition, of which LHA is a member, initiated a petition. The purpose of the petition is to require the Corps of Engineers to maintain Hartwell Lake at 660 Mean Sea Level (MSL) in winter months for a 5-year study period, rather than at the normal winter pool level of 656MSL as dictated by the rule curve. LHA is committed to maintaining Hartwell Lake as full as possible within a sound scientific approach to water management. After careful consideration, the LHA Board decided not to sign this petition.
