The Lake Hartwell Association (LHA) will be holding its annual Fall Information Forum on Thursday, October 29, at 7pm, at the Anderson Civic Center, 3027 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Anderson, South Carolina. The theme of this year’s forum is “Watershed Planning – Avoiding a Crisis”. Brigadier General Todd Semonite, Commander and Division Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division and Dr. Carol Couch, Director, Georgia Environmental Protection Division, will be the keynote speakers. The speakers and others will focus on the need for revised water planning and management in the Savannah River Basin. Included is the need for improved water planning processes and management in South Carolina through the proposed development of a new Comprehensive Statewide Water Plan.
