The LHA’s Mission Statement
- We will develop and establish the Lake Hartwell Association as an organization that promotes and encourages cooperation, assistance, and information exchange among those concerned with Lake Hartwell and the Savannah River Basin.
- We will provide a forum to collectively represent our membership on issues that pertain to the development, preservation, and comprehensive management of Lake Hartwell.
- We will collect and distribute information on matters affecting Lake Hartwell.
- We will maintain liaisons and communications between the Lake Hartwell Association and related educational institutions, governmental agencies, scientific facilities, and other local communities.
Can You Help?
Do you have a few hours of time that you could spare for the Lake Hartwell Association? Read your LHA newsletters, you might have noticed an increase in the water related activities, public issues, state legislation, member meetings, etc. Our efforts to support the quality of the lake for you are constantly growing and we need help in all areas and on all our committees. There are different levels of help needed, and most do not require a lot of time or specific skills, just someone willing to assist.
If you can help, or you would like to talk to one of the LHA Directors, please review a committee or activity below, and contact us. Be sure to put your volunteer selection choice in the subject field of the form. Someone will then contact you promptly to discuss the opportunity and answer any questions you might have.
